Knowledge & docs

Connect content sources so the assistant can answer from your documentation, and tune what it retrieves.

Beyond your API, the assistant can answer from your own content. This is where you connect and tune those knowledge sources.

Connecting sources

Add a source per environment and the assistant keeps it in sync. You can connect Markdown files, a sitemap, Notion, Confluence, Intercom, or Google Drive β€” or upload documents directly.

Connect your first source, step by step

Give the assistant your documentation so it answers from your material, not guesswork:

  1. Add a sourceOn the Knowledge page, add a source for the current environment and pick its type β€” Markdown files, a sitemap, Notion, Confluence, Intercom, or Google Drive.
  2. Connect itFollow the prompts to point it at your content β€” a URL, an account connection, or the files to include.
  3. Let it syncThe source syncs and shows its status. Set how often it refreshes so the assistant always works from current content.
  4. Inspect and tuneOpen the source to see the documents and chunks the assistant retrieves, and exclude, pin, relabel, or edit any of them. Your tuning survives future syncs.

Syncing & freshness

Each source shows its status and can be synced on demand. Set how often it refreshes and who can see it, so the assistant always works from current, appropriately-scoped content.

Inspecting & tuning

Open a source to inspect its documents and the chunks the assistant retrieves. Per document or chunk, you can:

  • Exclude β€” hide content you don’t want used.
  • Pin β€” boost content that should be preferred.
  • Relabel β€” change how a source is described or who can see it.
  • Edit β€” rewrite a chunk for a clearer answer.
