Team & roles
Invite your team and give each person the right level of access with five clear roles.
Bring your team into the workspace and control what each person can do. Syncanix has five fixed roles, from full control to read-only.
The roles
- Owner β full control, including billing and transferring ownership.
- Admin β everything except billing and ownership.
- Editor β edit the product and content surfaces; read observability.
- Reviewer β read-only across every surface, for compliance and QA.
- Viewer β read-only on product surfaces.
What each role can do
The five roles map to a fixed set of permissions. Here is who can do each of the things that matter most:
- See the product and conversation analytics
- Everyone β all five roles can view the product surfaces and the analytics.
- Edit the catalog, persona, knowledge, and design
- Owner, Admin, and Editor.
- Promote from development to production
- Owner and Admin only β it changes live behaviour, so it stays with administrators.
- View the audit log
- Owner, Admin, Editor, and Reviewer.
- Export conversation transcripts
- Owner and Admin. Everyone can view analytics; exporting the raw transcripts is limited to administrators.
- Manage API keys
- Owner and Admin. Editors can see that keys exist but not create or revoke them.
- Invite and manage teammates
- Owner and Admin β and you can never grant a role higher than your own.
- Change the plan and manage the subscription
- Owner and Admin. Reviewers can view billing; Editors and Viewers cannot see it at all.
- Transfer ownership or set spend caps
- Owner only β the most sensitive controls stay with the single workspace owner.
Managing members
Owners and admins can invite members, change roles, and remove people. Changing a role shows you the exact change in permissions before you confirm it.
